The longest and the most frequent flights were taken by those who were most aware of environmental issues, including the threat posed by climate change.
I'm certainly a hypocrite in this regard; I fly more than average, and therefore pollute more than average, regardless of whatever other environmentally friendly measures I take.

i read this a while back and thought the same thing... I travel by airline much more than the average person.
Can't really justify it, but... to remedy the situation, my father and I have decided to buy a large sailboat for our intercoastal travel and perhaps cross oceanic voyages :-)
well... we're not doing it to save the environment as much as to have a good time... but stil...
