The future of NASCAR:

As the fans join in a full-throated cheer, 43 of the world's best drivers reach down and press a button. What follows is unprecedented: pin-dropping silence, save for 43 small clicks.

With any luck, the electricity will come from clean, safe, efficient nuclear power.

Interesting article on Nuclear power.

I'm not sure where to stand on the debate. I do beleive that it's safe enough, and that when done properly can work well (see France for more detail).

But there is a problem... if we switched to all nuclear we'd run out of Uranium pretty quickly... at least I've read so.

Likely the best thing will be a combination of nuclear, solar (wind, wave et. al), biomass and gains in efficiency with transportation and buildings. And nuclear fusion if we can ever get that...

I hear fusion will be here in about 15 years...
